Canadian guitarist Lorne Lofsky, American steel pans player Johnathan Scales, Cuban music specialists Conjunto Malecon are among the attractions at Dundee Jazz Festival, which runs from 13-16 November.
They join a programme that includes Scottish award winners, singer kitti, pianist Fergus McCreadie, and saxophonists Kimberley Tessa, Harben Kay and Matt Carmichael.
The festival, which was first held in 1983, takes place in venues across the city including the Bonar Hall, which has hosted jazz legends in the past including drummer Billy Cobham and guitarist Mike Stern, the more recently opened Canvas and the internationally admired V&A Museum.
Lorne Lofsky, who has played alongside jazz stars including pianist Oscar Peterson, organist-trumpeter Joe DeFrancesco and trumpeter-vocalist Chet Baker, will be appearing in a quartet with fellow guitarist Nigel Price at Canvas on Friday 14th November during what is a rare Scottish appearance for the Canadian.
