10 February 2020Top Scots acts join international stars at major jazz festival

Three Scottish acts have been chosen to appear at Europe's largest outdoor jazz event, Love Supreme in Sussex this July.

Drummer Graham Costello's STRATA, pianist Fergus McCreadie's trio and singer Georgia Cecile will all appear at the festival, which takes place at Glynde, over the weekend of July 3 to 5.

They join a bill that includes spiritual saxophonist Charles Lloyd, rising London saxophonist Nuby Garcia, Brazilian boss nova master Sergio Mendes and soul stars Anita Baker, Sister Sledge and the Isley Brothers.

STRATA recently signed to Gearbox Records and expect to release the follow-up to their debut album, Obelisk. Meanwhile, McCreadie's first album, Turas continues to make waves, having won the Album of the Year title at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards and Best Album at the Scottish Jazz Awards as well as being shortlisted for the cross-genre Scottish Album of the Year Award.
